Aamir Khan to play "arrogant, drunk coach" in upcoming film?

With Aamir Khan putting his full weight behind his upcoming release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, rumours have already surfaced about one of his other forthcoming projects.

Khan, who is known to focus on one film at a time, is toying between two concepts currently – ‘Mogul’ (Gulshan Kumar’s biopic), Spanish film ‘Campeones’ remake, according to Box Office Worldwide.

A source said, “Aamir Khan usually picks one film at a time. It’s only when he’s about to finish or has completed the shoot that he decides his next. But this time, he’s toying with the idea of having a line-up. This is rare, considering his working methods. Of course, he’ll shoot one film at a time as he prefers to fully concentrate on the role in hand.”

The Hindi remake of ‘Campeones’ helmed by RS Prasanna, revolves around the journey of an arrogant and drunken coach, who trains a team of intellectually disabled people. The team eventually go on to win multiple championships across the globe. It’s an inspirational underdog tale, with the metamorphises of Aamir’s character too, from being arrogant and disrespectful, to becoming a sober man.

The source added, “It’s a film that has Aamir Khan’s stamp all over. It has humour, emotion and a social message. Just like how it was the biggest hit of the year in Spain, its Hindi remake can also be the biggest hit of the year when it releases.”

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ releases this December.
