Akshay Kumar, in the legal notice sent through law firm IC Legal on November 17, said Rashid Siddiqui, in his YouTube channel FF News, has uploaded several defamatory, libelous and derogatory videos against him.

The said videos make several false and baseless allegations against our client (Akshay Kumar) that he helped (actor) Rhea Chakraborty abscond to Canada. He also made allegations like Akshay Kumar was unhappy with Sushant Singh getting films like MS Dhoni, and the actor had secret meetings with Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray and the Mumbai police Commissioner to discuss the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput and so on, the notice said.

Akshay Kumar stated that because of Siddiqui’s scandalous, defamatory and derogatory videos, he has suffered mental trauma agony and huge loss, including loss of reputation and goodwill, which our client quantifies at ₹500 crores.

The notice also stated that Siddiqui’s videos have been intentionally published to mislead the public and is just a publicity stunt. According to the reports, the YouTuber has been accused of defamation, public mischief and intentional insult.

The notice said if Rashid Siddiqui fails to respond to the notice within a period of three days, the actor would initiate legal proceedings against him.

The Bollywood superstar has also sought an unconditional apology from the YouTuber and removal of objectionable videos from his channel.

Earlier, the Mumbai Police had separately filed a case against Rashid Siddiqui for spreading false news against the city police. He was arrested for dragging the name of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray.

On November 3, Rashid Siddiqui was granted anticipatory bail in the case by a Mumbai court, which directed him to cooperate in the probe. It is believed that Siddiqui earned around Rs 15 lakh in a span of four months and his subscribers also grew from 2 lakh to over 3 lakh.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his suburban Bandra apartment on June 14. Rhea Chakraborty, the late actor’s girlfriend, was arrested by the NCB in a drug case related to Sushant Rajput’s death. She is now out on bail.

Rhea Chakraborty and some others also face criminal conspiracy and “abetment to suicide” charges in connection with Sushant Rajput’s death which is being investigated by the CBI.
