Ariana Madix on Surprising Thing She Has in Common With Jax Taylor, Addresses Editor Scandal and Explains How Production Deals With Fans and Paparazzi

Ariana Madix has had plenty of issues with her former Vanderpump Rules castmate, Jax Taylor, over the years but during a recent interview, she admitted they once found a common ground.

Following Jax’s exit from the show, Ariana revealed the one thing they vibe on before explaining how production deals with challenges from fans and paparazzi, and reacting to the Pump Rules editor scandal.

“One thing we totally vibe on is blocking people,” Ariana revealed on a recent episode of The Take On With Amir Yassai. “My whole thing is like, this is my table, being on my page is you having a seat at my table and if you have bad vibes, get the f*ck out. We don’t need you here ruining the vibes of the table because we’re all here to have a good time. So Jax and I, we’re like, ‘Yeah, f*ck them.’”

Although Ariana doesn’t hesitate to remove unruly social media users from her pages, she does do her best to keep from oversharing ahead of new Pump Rules seasons. That said, she admitted that she could be a bit more secretive about upcoming storylines.

“I think that’s something we all need to be better about because it kind of ruins [the show]. I think we should be more mysterious,” she explained.

Ariana went on to say that when it comes to the editing of the show, she understands that producers have to make the series entertaining.

“When Scheana and Katie were trying to say I was negative, I was like, ‘Oh, they’re going to have such a hard time selling that narrative on the show because I feel like I’m constantly having fun.’ And then I would look and I’d be like, ‘Oh, I was over there laughing with that person but they insert a shot of me looking at my phone.’ There’s definitely been things like that, for sure,” Ariana said, adding that it “happens to everybody.”

Also during the interview, Ariana reacted to the shocking admissions of Pump Rules editor Bri Dellinger, who revealed earlier this year that Bravo favored Stassi Schroeder as the “hero” of the show and admitted to embarrassing Scheana on purpose.

“It’s hard to voice frustrations about editing without sounding like you’re either full of sh*t or ungrateful. But when all that stuff came out, it was like, ‘Okay, so yeah, what we thought was happening was actually happening,” she added.

Another thing that can ruin the storylines of the show is leaked photos and video footage from fans and paparazzi.

“Anytime we’re at SUR or TomTom, that can be a thing because there’s cameras there. The producers have to be like, ‘You can’t come up in the middle but afterwards, you can talk to them or take a picture,’” Ariana revealed.

While Ariana said that she and her castmates don’t typically deal with much paparazzi, she recalled one particular incident in which photogs were “really aggressive” as the cast attempted to film in Miami.

“We were filming on the beach and they were getting in front of our camera people. Our production has security for stuff like that but that was the only time [it was a problem],” she noted.
