BTS’ Jin REACTS to comparisons between him and Suho of True Beauty; Reveals who he thinks is more handsome

Very rarely can one see both the drama and the webtoon it was adapted from simultaneously striking a chord amongst its core audience. True Beauty is one such drama. The ongoing tvN drama has been a fan favourite ever since it began airing last year. True Beauty follows the story of Lim Ju Kyung, a teenager who suffers from low self-esteem issues because she doesn”t think she is pretty enough until she discovers the magical impact of using make-up. She eventually begins a romantic relationship with fellow classmate Lee Suho, who is known for his handsome looks yet cold demeanor.

Speaking of Suho, the author of the popular webtoon, Ms Yaongyi is said to be a big fan of BTS, and is said to have modelled Lee Suho on the eldest member of the beloved South Korean boy group Jin. BTS ARMY, too, couldn’t help but see the striking resemblance between Jin and Suho’s ethereal visuals and chic fashion sense. Finally, Jin himself has addressed the comparisons between him and Suho on the fan-community site Weverse. According to @choi_bts2 on Twitter, a fellow ARMY member put together photos of Jin and Suho side by side in matching attires and commented, “Kim Seokjin Oppa came from animation movie, and these are the proofs. Oppa which planet are you from?..  He looks like an animation character.” To which Jin himself replied, “Oh, the picture and the real person both of them are handsome as expected.”

Meanwhile, the webtoon and the drama have been a hot topic of discussion in the K-community, with fans divided between Team Suho versus Team Seojun (played by Hwang In Yeop). True Beauty airs its finale on February 3 and 4 at 10:30 pm KST on tvN.
