Blue & Grey, which is a part of BTS’ album BE, was initially going to be a part of V’s first mixtape.
BTS ARMY is excited as we”re inch closer to the release of BE: essential edition, what is also dubbed as a sequel to BE: deluxe version. BE is BTS’ fifth studio album dealing with themes of hope and togetherness, during these difficult times. BTS members have been putting out a series of personalized, ASMR style notes ahead of BE: essential edition‘s release on February 19. V is the fifth member to reveal his personalized notes, and his adorable dog Yeontan makes an appearance in it too.
Big Hit’s official Twitter handle dropped the video late on February 4. The video opens with V sitting by the window in an oversized sweater, wearing a pair of thick glasses. V’s husky yet melodious voice fills the background, as he continues to ponder over the song. He is seen scribbling the lyrics on his I-Pad, scribbling and doodling animated pictures to create the magic of the song. The cute quotient of the video is doubled with V’s pet dog Yeontan’s appearance throughout. Yeontan gave company to his papa as the singer worked hard on penning down the lyrics himself. The video ends with V staring at his screen, while Yeontan does a little fan-service for the camera. The video is blue & grey in color, reminiscent of the eponymous song.
Blue & Grey is a slow, tender pop-ballad with highly personalized lyrics that deal with the themes of pandemic-induced anxiety, hopelessness and burnout. Interestingly, Blue & Grey was originally going to be a part of Taehyung’s first mixtape.
