Donal Bisht is one of the most popular actresses we have in Indian television. She made her acting debut with Airlines as a journalist, in 2015. The same year, Donal went on to Sakshi in Kalash. She bagged the lead role of Sharanya in Ek Deewana Tha opposite Namik Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan. Donal was later seen in Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop opposite Shashank Vyas. Donal replaced Jasmin Bhasin in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji in 2019. The actress recently opened up on how people are quick to judge and affected by the number os of followers an actor/actress has on social media. In an interview, Donal Bisht shared her views on the same. “I think people are really affected and motivated both by the number game on social media. But according to me, big numbers don’t make you a superstar! Hard work does,” Donal told Spotboye. “People who really work hard, and have their work recognized to the point where people recognize them by their work when they step out well, they are the real superstars. When one is recognized for the work they do in the industry, that’s the purest form of success and achievement. People shouldn’t run after numbers, they should aim to do good work instead,” the actress added. Earlier, Donal had opened up on a casting couch experience having worked in the industry for five years now. Sharing one shocking incident during struggling phase, Donal Bisht asserted, “There was this one time when I was selected for a show, the money was finalised, the dates were given, but then I was dropped out of the project suddenly, citing that the channel wanted another actress. At that time, my family and I were convinced that the entire industry was fake and that people in Mumbai only lie. But then, my hunger for acting couldn’t keep me away from the auditions for long. It led to another incident when a filmmaker, who was apparently from the south film industry, asked me to sleep with him for a role. I immediately filed a police complaint against the person because I worship my work. Even though the struggle will be a bit more, I was sure that I’ll only make my way into the industry in the right way,” Donal had said.
