'Distance makes love grow stronger': Mumbai Police's Valentine's Day tweet with COVID twist

Valentine’s Day 2021 has arrived and by the looks of it, the Coronavirus pandemic has failed to dampen the moods of lovebirds and V-Day enthusiasts as people are celebrating the day with full ardour.

The Mumbai Police, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day has issued a sweet message on Twitter that will make you go ‘aww’. The cops of Mumbai reminded people to maintain social distancing while celebrating the day. In their tweet, the Mumbai Police wrote, “All we need is love, a mask and six feet of distance this Valentine’s Day.” The tweet also had a GIF which shows a boy and girls wearing masks and separated by seven hearts. “Distance makes love grow stronger”, read the GIF.

Mumbai Commissioner of Police, Param Bir Singh also had a message for couples on Valentine’s Day. “The three magical words everyone wants to hear this Valentine’s Day – ‘Safety Comes First,’” read a post from Mumbai CP’s official Twitter handle. The picture in the tweet had “21/2 Akshar prem ke, 2 Gaz safety ke” written on it.

The Mumbai Police shared another funny photo on twitter, a rather cute one. The tweet captioned, “Mumbai. Our Valentine forever” shows a Mumbai Police officer jumping on the ground and it read, “you sweep us off our feet Mumbai”.

These tweets have got a thumbs up from Twitterati and were also shared multiple times. This is not the Mumbai police’s first attempt at being quirky on social media. They are, in fact, known for their creative and witty posts to spread awareness on diverse issues.
