“It is brilliant to see someone like Liam come in and play straight away in the fashion that we would like people to play in. That shows that we are doing things right, the message is getting through to people and we will continue to play in that way.”
England may not have won a series in India but Jos Buttler said: “We are in a really good place as a side.”
The defeat in the 3rd ODI not only denied England a first ODI series win in India in 36 years but also means they end the tour without winning in any of the three formats, having lost the Tests 3-1 and T20s 3-2. England won the 2nd ODI by 6 wickets chasing a stiff 337 with 39 balls remaining.
