England Series Will Be Kuldeep Yadav’s Time To Bowl: Bowling Coach Bharat Arun

Kuldeep Yadav is expected to partner Ravichandran Ashwin with Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the four-Test match series against England starting from February 5. Indian bowling coach bharat Arun said that the England series will be Kuldeep Yadav’s time to bowl in an interview after returning back to India from Australia. The Test series kicks off from February 5 with both the teams scheduled to reach Chennai by November 27. As per reports, both the teams will be put up in the same hotel and will enter the bio-bubble together. 

With the Australia series done, the Indian team management is now focusing on another tough upcoming series against England. England will tour India between February 5 to March 28 for four Tests, five T20Is and three ODIs. Chennai will host the first two Tests. The final two Tests will be played at the newly built stadium in Ahmedabad. It has a crowd capacity of 110,000 spectators, making it the biggest-capacity cricket ground in the world.

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference, bowling coach Bharat Arun has praised Kuldeep Yadav and spoken about his chances of playing in the England series.

“Kuldeep is working hard enough, he has been brilliant. I think horses for courses is the best thing. And when Kuldeep gets a chance to play, he will show what he can do because I think he is bowling magnificently now. And in India, when we play four Test matches (against England) that’ll be his time,” Bharat Arun said. 

Kuldeep Yadav last played a Test match for India against Australia in November 2019 against Australia in Sydney. The left-arm spinner had picked up a five-wicket haul in that match. Kuldeep has played only six Test matches for India and already has 24 wickets next to his name, including two five-wicket hauls.

Meanwhile, the first two Test vs England in Chennai will be played behind closed doors as per Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) Secretary RS Ramasaamy. He has informed the same to BCCI as well.
