We spoke to her about her experience in the series and here is what she had to say

Geetanjali who is playing the role of a college dean considers this as a gratifying experience of her life. She says, “Characters played in reel life tend to influence an actor’s real-life experiences as well and this has changed my perspective on various situations. We shot season 2 of Operation MBBS in the middle of a pandemic when the lockdown was lifted slowly across the country but the panic was still on. Our healthcare workers have been frontline warriors and have selflessly faced all the challenges and hurdles first hand. Though we are just roleplaying and recreating the gruesome situations they have been through yet it was such an eye-opener for all of us and take note of all the sacrifices they have made to keep the country safe and sound. I salute to the entire medical fraternity for the tireless efforts they have and are still putting into this.”

While most global TV and web series that have been are based on the medical profession such as Grey’s Anatomy and Good Doctor have shed light on how the medical fraternity has been dealing with the pandemic, in India there is not much we have seen.  Operation MBBS season 2 is India’s first web series covering the pandemic from the perspective of the medical fraternity who are the true warriors in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Operation MBBS stars Ayush Mehra, Sarah Hashmi and Anshul Chauhan in the lead and is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and the magnificent team of writers include Ayesha Nair, Puneet Batra, and Dr. Pravin Yadav. It started streaming on March 15
