We’re almost there! We are just over a week away as of the time of this article that the Pixel 6a is going to be here. The “a” series has always been top notch, high caliber in the mid series department. It brings the ever so popular Pixel camera but it also brings stock Android. The software support and updates and a lot of the great google services that we come to love like the voice dictation, the translation and the call screening, all sorts of great things. This new phone will be the more affordable counterpart to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, offering some of the same features but keeping the Pixel 5a’s price.

The Google Pixel 6a ill be available globally on 28th July 2022. Pre-orders start from July 21.
The phone is priced at a very competitive rate of $449. This means it will cost around Rs. 35,000 – 40,000. This makes phones like 1+ Nord 2, Samsung Galaxy A53, Iphone SE and its very own Pixel 5a its direct rivals.
The ultrawide camera on Pixel 6a has a reduced resolution compared to last year’s Pixel 5a’s, which had a 16MP ultrawide camera. Speculations say that it was made up for by a larger sensor that will offer greater brightness. Apart from hardware, Google camera is infamous for its camera’s software prowess. There’s features such as a low-light photography mode, Magic Eraser with an added object recoloring ability and Face Unblur.
In the Video department, you can record 4K video at up to 60 fps, slo-mo up to 240 frames per second, and the option to record time lapse videos in 4K.
PIxel 6a will launch with Android 12 out of the box. Google promised the Pixel 6 with 5 years of software updates. Thus, we can hope they will do the same of the 6a and give it amazing long term value. However they are only promising five years of security updates for the Pixel 6a, which could mean you miss out on a couple years of full Android upgrades.
