The new Fortnite Impossible Escape LTM is live, but it can be a little confusing at first. Here is how players can secure an Escape Royale in the new Impossible Escape LTM.
Similar to previous major limited-time modes, the Impossible Escape LTM departs from the normal Battle Royale style gameplay. Instead, players must survive on the island with a limited loot pool and cap on materials. Going at it alone or finding a squad along the way, players have one mission… escape the island.
However, Fortnite doesn’t necessarily tell the players how they are supposed to escape The Island. Sure, players are instructed to find parts for a helicopter, but with only 30 minutes to do so there isn’t enough time to blindly search for them. This guide will show players how to play and win the Fortnite Daybreak LTM.
Escaping Fortnite’s Impossible Escape LTM
The map above shows somewhat players can expect when dropping into a round of Impossible Escape. The map will be covered in a fog of war until a player either explores that region or visits one of the Guardian towers. The towers are marked by golden binoculars on the map.

Players will want to visit one of these towers first to reveal the location of nearby objects. The golden speech bubbles show the location of NPCs that will give players Impossible Escape quests which can be completed to reveal the location of helicopter parts. Players may also see golden claw symbols which indicate a rare item that can be turned into an NPC to reveal helicopter part locations.
A lot of this mode’s mechanics can be ignored as the only main objective is to gather four missing parts for one of the helicopters. These parts can be located by removing the fog of war which removes the need for NPCs. However, if a player doesn’t feel like visiting towers, they can hunt down NPC quests instead.
The helicopter parts are indicated on the map by blue icons. There are the motor, engine, top blades, and tail blades. There are multiple of each part around the map, but a single helicopter only needs one of each. This is where players will need to coordinate with their squad so that two squad members don’t go get the same part.

To squad up, players will have to find other players wandering around the map. They will then need to emote and high-five one another. Up to four people can be in a squad. In PvE, players can attack one another. But in PvP, you’ll need to be careful who you choose to trust.
Once all of the parts are collected, the squad will need to hop into the helicopter and fly to a designated escape zone. Helicopters are low on fuel so they may need to make a pit stop. Once the zone is reached, players will be greeted with an Escape Royale screen. That’s how players can win the Fortnite Impossible Escape LTM.
Fortnite has added a mysterious island off the coast of Flush Factory that unlocks a secret Lara Croft skin variant.

Lara Croft is one of the Battle Pass crossover characters in Fortnite Season 6, and she has quite a few skin variants. However, the gold Lara Croft Anniversary skin can only be unlocked through specific conditions.
Seeing as Fortnite Season 6 is all about adventuring in primal settings, Lara Croft was the perfect candidate for collaboration. She can be unlocked by reaching tier 15 of this season’s battle pass, and her anniversary variant is unlocked at tier 25. She also has a classic variant that is unlocked by completing weekly challenges.
There is also a golden version of the anniversary skin that hasn’t been unlockable until now. Unlike other gold skin variants, gold Lara Croft isn’t obtained by reaching a higher level. Instead, players must complete a secret task to unlock this hidden skin variant.
Unlocking gold Lara Croft skin
With Fortnite v16.40, a new island has emerged from the sea south of Flush Factory. This tiny island is the home of Orelia, the female version of the Oro skin. Orelia will help players by giving them her golden assault rifle, but she will give Lara Croft an additional gift.

The island players need to visit is marked on the map below. If players visit the island wearing the Lara Croft skin and take the assault rifle sitting on the pedestal, they will unlock the gold Lara Croft Anniversary skin after the match. It’s as simple as visiting the island and picking up a weapon.
The only catch is that this island will be heavily populated with players who are also attempting to unlock the skin. And seeing as there is only one gun available, waiting for players to disperse is not an option. Players will have to race to the island to be the first to grab the gun.
However, it only takes one time to unlock the gold Lara Croft skin forever. It would be neat to see Fortnite offer more ways like this to unlock gold skin variants in the future. Reaching level 225 in a season isn’t something that is easily done, and this method offers a similar challenge.
Fortnite’s gold bars can be hard to find in large quantities, but knowing where every safe is located makes raking up the cash easy.

Gold bars are one of the most useful resources in Fortnite because of what they allow players to buy, yet they can be hard to obtain. The best way to get large amounts of gold is by knowing all of the Fortnite safe locations.
Epic Games introduced gold bars into Fortnite at the start of Chapter 2 Season 5. This currency could be given to NPCs around the map in exchange for materials, items, and even Mythic weapons. However, players would have to build up a hearty supply of gold before making any big purchases.
Gold bars could be obtained by breaking open furniture, completing tasks from NPCs, or even by looting eliminated players. As well, players could take up bounties and earn large amounts of gold by eliminating their targets. But the best way to earn gold bars is by finding and opening gold safes.
Every gold safe location in Fortnite
Safes are the fastest way of obtaining gold in Fortnite, but they also come with their downsides. Safes can be hard to find as they don’t give off as loud a sound as chests do, and they don’t glow either. They also take between 10 to 15 seconds to open which is much longer than a chest or ammo crate.

They also spawn in various locations around the map, but they aren’t guaranteed to spawn each round. Like chests, they only have a chance to spawn in their designated locations. However, thanks to the interactive map at Fortnite.gg, players can easily find where each safe should spawn. Here is a map showing all of the Fortnite safe locations.
While it might take a long to time open each safe, it’s well worth the wait. Each safe will give players 800 gold bars once opened which is a lot when compared to the prices of items. Even if players aren’t searching for safes specifically, they should stop to open the ones they come across. Since Mythic weapons cost 500 gold bars, one safe is enough to cover the cost and then some.

A new event has started in Fortnite allowing players to earn cosmetic rewards simply by playing the game. Here’s how players can earn all three Fortnite Lantern Trials rewards.
The Fortnite Lantern Trials is a new event meant to celebrate Ramadan. This period of time is observed by Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting. Regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam, Ramadan is observed annually for a duration of 29 to 30 days.
Epic Games is helping observe Ramadan by rewarding players with themed cosmetics. There aren’t any flashy challenges or quests that need to be completed. Unlocking all three cosmetics is as simple as playing Fortnite for a few hours.

Players will first need to sign-up to start gaining progress to unlocking the rewards. Simply visit https://lanterntrials.fortnite.com/en/ and log in to your Epic Games account. This will automatically sign the player up and start tracking their progress.

Afterwards, players will just need to play Fortnite. Yes, it’s really that simple. Every 40 minutes that a player spends in a game of Fortnite will translate to one Lantern Trials badge earned. Players will earn rewards at tiers 1, 6, and 11 (see chart below).
|Cosmetic Name||Badge Tier||Time Played|
|Lantern Spray||Badge 1||0 minutes|
|Enlightened Warrior Emoticon||Badge 6||3 hours 20 minutes|
|Lantern Glow Wrap||Badge 11||6 hours 40 minutes|
The time played is only counted in regular Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads modes. Time isn’t counted when playing Arena, LTM, or Creative modes. This also means that players can’t sit in the lobby for 7 hours to earn the rewards.
Despite almost seven hours being a long time to play Fortnite, the Lantern Glow Wrap is worth it. The animated wrap is an exclusive reward meaning players won’t be able to get it any other way. Same goes for the spray and emoticon, but the wrap is truly the best cosmetic item up for grabs.
