IPL 2021 Auction: VIVO Remains The Title Sponsor As BCCI Releases The Player Auction List

In something that was noticeable in the IPL governing council’s official press release was that Vivo remained the title sponsor of the IPL 2021, as they mentioned the Chinese mobile makers’ name repeatedly in the release. This means the reports of Vivo ending their five-year contract two years ahead of time proved to be false.

A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from Associate Nations will be up for grabs in the VIVO IPL 2021 Player Auction in Chennai. All the officials from all franchisees will need to undergo COVID-19 testing a day before the auction, while they do not need to observe any quarantine given their short duration of the stay. Only a handful of members from each franchisee will be allowed on the tables, while the remaining staying out of the main auction area.
