The former AEW World Champion also shared immense popularity as The Lunatic Fringe in WWE, especially as part of The Shield along with his close friends Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. During an Ask Me Anything session with fans for Bleacher Report, Moxley was asked if he still talks to his The Shield mates.
“Very occasionally. Seth”s about to have a kid, so that’s cool. You just get in this world and you get really busy, especially in a pandemic world, everyone is in their own little bubbles,” Jon confessed before adding, “That’s the good thing about wrestling: it’s never goodbye, it’s just see you along the way. When you go through certain things with people, you’re always bonded.” Moreover, when asked if he misses being a part of The Shield, the 35-year-old wrestler had a very honest reply to give.
According to Moxley, he doesn’t so much miss it as he’s now onto new things along with a new chapter altogether in AEW. However, Jon looks back at his time with The Shield “all fondly” and believes it ended perfectly. The Shield chapter for Moxley ended on a “nice little bow.”
