Popular TV actress Pooja Banerjee, who is known for her portrayals in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 and Kumkum Bhagya, revealed why she is staying away from films and choosing small screen over it. Talking to E Times, the actress explained the reason and said, “I did a film and I realised I’m not happy doing it. I’ll do films only when it’s a great character. I’m content with whatever work I have been getting. I’d rather do a film where I’m chosen for my acting prowess and not the number of followers on social media.”
Speaking about her journey in the entertainment industry, the actress earlier told PinkVilla, “Well, Gratitude is the word! I certainly feel that destiny too has played a massive role as well. When I did my very first project I was a naive girl who wanted to make it big but then I realised that making big has nothing to do with how many awards I collect. It solely depends on the kind of impact I am creating with my work on the audiences and that’s what matters at the end of the day.”
Talking about her experience working with Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes and Ekta Kapoor in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, she said, “Ekta ma’am is such an inspiration as she single-handedly runs a company comprising so many dimensions. And Parth and Erica are more like a family to me, I feel the team of Kasautii was once in a lifetime because the kind of fun we did during the shoot was something I have never experienced with any of my crew mates earlier. More than just being friends we are a family.” The actress also shared her experience working with Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in Kumkum Bhagya. She said, “I look up to them with immense amount of respect. They are such talented people who pull off all the scenes so effortlessly! It is great fun to watch them act and act with them.”
