Lupin Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot And Find Out All Updates – Crossover 99

Lupin has made a massive impact since landing on Netflix before this season, getting the platform’s most successful French global hit.

The heist-thriller starring Omar Sy was watched by a staggering 70million families within 28 days of its release, leaving fans wanting more.

The series follows the story of lead personality Assane, who sets out to find out the facts behind his dad being imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.

‘As a teenager, Assane Diop’s life has been turned upside down when his father died after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit,’ Netflix claims of the series.

Lupin is loosely inspired by a series of books from French author Maurice Leblanc, together with the modern take proving hugely popular.

It’s no surprise that Netflix has already confirmed another time is on its way. Here’s everything you need to know.

When will part two of Lupin be released?

Netflix’s previous split-season schedules saw the second half Unsolved Mysteries premiere only three and a half months after the first, while the last episodes of Kimmy Schmidt’s fourth season took eight months to debut. CAOS’s initial season, meanwhile, was divided into two parts published six months apart, although the second season’s two halves were spaced nearly a complete year apart.

That left things pretty wide open–moving off those timelines, part 2 of Lupin’s first season could be released as early as mid-April, or as late as the end of December–and Netflix originally did not offer much of a hint about its launch date: When you finish Lupin’s final episode, before autoplaying a preview for one more series, a display appears saying”It is official: Part two is coming soon.”

Finally, however, in the aforementioned Jan. 28 statement, Netflix offered a (still fairly vague) clarification of this part two release schedule. The subsequent five episodes will probably arrive sometime this summer, according to this Felix, though they didn’t offer any additional hints about whether that means we will get to pick back up with Diop the second June rolls around, or if the episodes will become available nearer to July 15, the 116th anniversary of the publication of Maurice Leblanc’s first Arsène Lupin story. Guess it’s time to test out this whole”power of positive thinking” thing and will an early June premiere into existence!

Lupin Season 2

Who is in the cast of Lupin season 2?

Omar is back to lead the cast in the upcoming episodes, stepping back in the function of Assane Diop.

Assane is a burglar who models his life Maurice Leblanc’s’gentleman burglar’.

Omar will be combined by Hervé Pierre as Hubert Pellegrini, Nicole Garcia as Madame Anne Pellegrini and Clotilde Hesme as Juliette Pellegrini.

The series also stars the likes of Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella, Soufiane Guerrab.

The first two new episodes will be led at Ludovic Bernard, with Hugo Gélin helming the next three.

What will part two of Lupin be about?

Without giving too much away, part among Lupin left off on multiple significant cliffhangers in Diop’s revenge plot, just as the budding heist-meister was getting thoroughly entangled within an even broader web of deception and widespread corruption. The following pair of episodes, then, will likely see Diop and his estranged wife Claire, played by Ludivine Sagnier, doing anything is needed to reunite with their kid, while Diop also figures out how to persuade Detective Youssef Guedira (Soufiane Guerrab) he’s one of those great guys (kinda). In addition to all this, he still needs to accomplish his original mission to show the Pellegrini family’s misdeeds and clear his father’s title. An entirely ordinary to-do list.

Kay, the show’s creator, further opened up about the plot of part 2 to Vanity Fair. To begin with, he explained, we’ll continue to see flashbacks to the years until Diop became the gentleman burglar he is now. “The backstory is going to take you up to how he got to that point,” Kay explained. “We don’t know what happened to him in the gap between him being, like, 15 and being 40. So we are kind of retrospectively educating with this huge backstory.”

He also disclosed that part two will finally wrap up Diop’s revenge plot against the Pellegrini family, also will include a few more of Lupin’s now-signature actions sequences put against Paris’ most recognizable landmarks, fitting the scale of his jaw-dropping jewelry heist at the Louvre. “We began with such a significant thing, and I need it to ramp up to a big matter,” Kay hinted.
