Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. Episode Titles Honor Major Marvel Storylines

Only days after Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. stars Patton Oswalt (M.O.D.O.K.), Melissa Fumero (Melissa), Aimee Garcia (Jodie), Ben Schwartz (Lou), and Jon Daly (Super-Adaptoid), and series co-creator, writer, and executive producer Jordan Blum landed at [email protected], we have even more details to share about the May 21-debuting adult animated Hulu series. By now, you know the deal: after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis. During the virtual panel, viewers also learned some of the familiar names that are set to help (or hinder) our little metal megalomaniac: Jon Hamm aks Iron Man, Whoopi Goldberg aka Poundcakes, Nathan Fillion aka Wonder Man, and Bill Hader aka Angar the Screamer and The Leader. But thanks to Blum, we now know the names of the episodes as well as director/writer details- and if you’re a comics fan, some of those titles might just sound familiar.

“He is this character that aspires to be like Doctor Doom, this kind of like-menacing villain, but he always falls short of it,” Blum explained during the panel, summarizing the animated series’ title character. “The fact that he’s conscious that he’s not an A-Lister drives him insane. What’s his home life like, while also running an evil organization?” Here’s a look back to the official date announcement video for Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., followed by a rundown of what we know about the ten episodes so far (with director/writer):

Written by Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt, directed by Eric Towner and Alex Kramer.

You’ll see in the previews included during the NYCCxM panel (at the beginning of the video, with additional previews throughout):
