On tonight’s episode of Naagin 5, 9th January 2020, Maarkat aka Veer (Sharad Malhotra)’s mother dies, with the more surprising element being that Jay (Mohit Sehgal) apprises Veer and his family about it. In short the vamp of Naagin 5 is finally no more after several narrow brushes with death. In order to break the news, Jay seeks out Veer with some exciting news, and reveals it to him in the presence of both Bani (Surbhi Chandna) and Balwant. He even allays their doubts by assuring them that he’s being veracious, but fails to convince Veer as well as Balwant, on account of his history of colluding with Maarkat.
Jay continues his best to gain their confidence that he has indeed eliminated Maarkat. However, when none of his assurances work, he implores to follow him and see Maarkat’s cadaver themselves. Upon arriving at the scene, they do discover that Jay claimes weren’t spurious, but Balwant still has his suspicions, thinking that this could all be an elaborate ruse conjured by Jay and Maarkat, with the latter playing dead. His hesitance to believe how Jay no doubt stems from how the family has been deceived in the past by both Jay and Maarkat. Finally, Balwant requests Shukla to confirm if Maarkat is actually no more, and when the latter relays what Jay had been saying all along, everyone present is not only fully convinced, but also proceed to celebrate Maarkat’s demise.
The euphoria is short lived though as a new adversary makes an entry soon after, with the sole aim of further complicating Bani and Veer’s lives. What’s more, he not only boldly enters Veer’s home during their celebration, but also dances with Bani. However, Bani newfound psychic powers begin to tingle and she gets a premonition that he is not whom he seems, but is unable to recollect anything else about him. This prompts her to pray to Lord Shiva for some sort of hint about the person she encountered.
The regular Indian TV soap audience would be happy to happy to know that the new entrant in Naagin 5 is none other than Arjit Taneja of Kumkum Bhagya fame, and his entry will mark the beginning of a new set of problems and obstacles in Veer and Bani’s lives and as also their relationship, which was finally progressing. Arjit Taneja has entered as the new, primary foe of Bani now that Chandni and Maarkat’s tack are done and dusted.
