With Omicron cases on the rise, several states have begun taking action to curb the new variant. Each state is taking action to prevent any further spread by introducing new covid restrictions. Either imposing curfews or regulating vaccination rules.
This might be tough for those planning to celebrate Christmas and New Year this year.
States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan have introduced new restrictions.
Maharashtra
To be imposed from December 24, 2021
Mandatory Curfew from 9pm to 6am.
Restrictions on number of people allowed indoor to be 100 and outdoor to be 250.
Uttar Pradesh
To be imposed from December 25, 2021
Mandatory Curfew from 11pm to 5am.
Maximum 200 people allowed for any form of public gathering.
Rajasthan
To be imposed from December 24, 2021
Mandatory Curfew from 11pm to 5am.
Those government employees who have yet to be fully vaccinated are to be deprived of benefits of schemes.
Haryana
Curfew to be imposed from December 25, 2021
Mandatory curfew from 11pm to 5am.
From January 1, 2022 – Only those fully vaccinated would be permitted to enter public offices and facilities.
