Flagship killer turned manufacturer OnePlus recently made an official announcement. They stated that the OnePlus 10 Pro will launch on the 11th of January at 2:00 pm in China. They also showcased a variety of promotional items. This included high definition renderings of the phone and much more.
Pete Lau quoted that excellent products are the ones which are finely polished inside and out instead of just having loads of parameters.
He also mentioned that parameters are still a necessity with top parameters being the basis of a “flagship quality” device. But “true flagship” is only obtained when one can have the topmost parameters and also be carefully polished in all aspects.
OnePlus themselves stated for the Volcanic Black variant, “Inspired by an endless sea of dunes under a moonlit sky, special micro-crystals resemble glittering sand grains across a dream-like landscape. The purity of the black surface invokes a desire to explore the deep and dark silence.”
As for the Emerald Forest variant, they said, “This colorway captures the first-morning sunray transforming dew into shimmering crystals suspended in the air. Echoing the passage of time, angled micro-crystals simulate the interplay of light and shadow, evoking stillness and tranquility.”
“The upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro will once again climb to the top of performance and is the strongest performance flagship with top parameters and extreme polishing”, said Pete Lau.
Parameter wise, the OnePlus 10 Pro is equipped with a LTPO 2.0 screen. This screen is claimed to be a generation ahead of the industry. The display supports upto 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution.
Core Specifications
In terms of core configurations, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 chip and a 5000mAh battery with support upto 80W wired flash + 50W wireless flash charging. The front camera is a 32MP unit. The back camera module consists of a 48MP main sensor, a 50Mp ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens. The main telephoto sensor comes ready with optical image stabilization. There’s also a ring shaped flash including a Hasselblad logo encased under the glass casing.
The smartphone measures 163 × 73.8 × 8.55mm. It comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It’s equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, X-axis linear motor, stereo dual speakers. The device runs on ColorOS 12 which is based on Android 12. The display is a 6.7-inch 3216×1440 AMOLED screen, supporting LTPO 2.0, and 10bit color depth.

From all the revealed specs and statements, it seems that the OnePlus 10 Pro is a new device with no appearance of a standard version.
