Candiace Dillard-Bassett and her husband, Chris Bassett, are selling their Washington, D.C., area home.
After purchasing a 10,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom home at the end of last year for $1 million, the Real Housewives of Potomac couple are saying “goodbye” to their 2,960-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom townhouse.
During a new interview, Candiace, 34, said she and Chris, 42, are unloading the property because “it’s a great time for the current market and we have had the home in our family long enough to make a generous return on our investment.”
“We were ready for a change,” she told PEOPLE.
Inside the front door of Candiace’s townhouse is a foyer that leads to a living room area.
On the other side of the foyer is the dining room and kitchen.
“While I’m incredibly sad to be letting it go, as this was my first home as a young adult, I know that the next owners, whoever they will be, will enjoy turning this house into a home of their own,” Candiace shared. “We truly loved living here and took great care of the property.”
Candiace and Chris’ townhouse boasts four stories and sits in an “incredible location.”
“You become spoiled living up on a quiet hill, tucked away in the Harbor while still being able to drive five minutes and have access to all of the major highways that carry you around the DC, Maryland, Virginia area,” Candiace explained.
Downstairs from the main level of the home is an area that can be set up as “an office space, homeschooling, or a workout area.”
There is also a full bathroom and access to a two-car garage on the bottom floor.
Meanwhile, on the third floor of the home, two bedrooms can be found, each of which features its own bathroom.
On the top floor, the master bedroom and master bathroom can be found.
There’s also a small living area that opens up to a rooftop deck with water views.
The “absolute favorite thing about the home has always been the rooftop terrace,” Candiace shared. “We enjoyed many nights out there laughing, talking, and sipping. It’s one of the things I will greatly miss.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac season six is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year.
