One Lakh portable Oxygen concentrators will be procured and 500 oxygen generation plants will be set up with PM-CARES funds, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday 28 April, due to an unpredictable rise in Covid – 19 cases.

” 500 new PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Oxygen plants will be sanctioned under ‘PM Care Fund’, in addition to 713 plants sanctioned earlier “, a statement is given by PMO.

And also added, “The PSA plants will augment the supply of LMO (Liquid Medical Oxygen) at hospitals in district headquarters and Tier 2 cities. These 500 PSA plants will be established with transfer of the indigenous technology developed by DRDO and CSIR to the domestic manufacturers.”
