On Sunday, the beautiful valley of Chamoli district near Nanda Devi witnessed a terrible catastrophe as a glacier burst and damaged the Rishi Ganga dam at the Alaknanda River. The lives of many workers at the dam hung in the balance by the ITBP personnel rushed to the spot to offer help and rescue assistance. Amid this, Bollywood stars also joined in praying for those whose lives were affected by the disaster. Now, Shahid Kapoor also has tweeted about the same and prayed for people in the state. 

The actor, who has shot several times in Uttarakhand for his films like Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Jersey and more, has shared his thoughts on the terrible disaster that rocked the Chamoli district of the state. Shahid prayed for the lives of the people who were affected by the glacier burst. He called the state and its people “beautiful’ as he recalled that he shot for many of his films in Uttarakhand. Sharing his prayers, the Jersey star joined other celebs in praying for the affected people. 

Sharing his thoughts, Shahid wrote, “Prayers for all those affected in Uttarakhand. A beautiful state with wonderful people. Have shot there many a times.”
