Sidharth Shukla (12 December 1980 – 2 September 2021) was an Indian actor, model and host. he worked in many Television shows as well as in the movie ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhanai’ & ‘Business in Kazakhstan’. Also, appeared in ALTBalaji’s web series ‘Broken But Beautiful 3’.
He became famous for playing the role of ‘Shivraj Shekhar’ in Balika Vadhu and became the winner of Bigg Boss Season 13.
Sidharth Shukla was one of the most favorite Indian TV Actors who passes away at the age of 40. The death has left the entertainment industry shocked. After the news came out, his fans and various known celebrities took to social media to mourn his death.

Early Life & Career
Sidharth Shukla was born on 12 December 1980 in Mumbai, India. He belongs to a Hindu Brahmin family, His father’s name was Ashok Shukla, a civil engineer employed at Reserve Bank of India. His mother’s name is Rita Shukla, a homemaker, and has two elder sisters. He lost his father due to lung cancer.
He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Interior design from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, Mumbai. He represented his school in Tennis and Football Competition. He played against the Italian Football Club, AC Milan’s under-19 Team.
After completing his education, he changed his line from Interior Designing to Modelling. He was the runner-up in the ‘ Gladrags Manhunt’ Competition in 2004. In 2005, he represented India at the World’s Best Model Contest held at Turkey and became the first Indian as well as Asian to win the title. After winning the ‘Best Model Title’ he appeared in advertisements like Bajaj Avenger & ICICI.
Television Journey
In 2008, Sidharth made his acting debut in the TV show ‘ Babul ka Aangann Chootey Na’ on Sony TV as a lead role. In 2009, he played the role of Veer Vardhan Singh in ‘Iaane Pehchaane Se…Te Ajnabbi’ on Star one and also appeared in few episodes of ‘Aahat’.
In 2011, he played the character of Rahul Kashyap in ‘Love U Zindagi’ on Star Plus and also appeared in some episodes of CID.
Journey with Balika Vadhu & Bollywood debut
Balika Vadhu was the long-running Colors TV social drama series in which Sidharth appeared as Shivraj Shekhar, a district collector. For his role of ‘Shivraj’ in Balika Vadhu, he achieved several prestigious awards and nominations. He received the ‘GR8 Performer of the Year(Male)’ Award.
In 2013, He participated in the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. According to the reports, Sidharth had signed a 3-film deal with Dharma Production.
In 2014, Sidharth Shukla worked for his Bollywood debut movie, ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania’ in which he played the role of a supporting character name ‘ Angad Bedi’, an NRI doctor and fiance of the female protagonist played – Alia Bhatt. He received an award for the ‘Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)’ Stardust Award in 2015′.
Later in 2016, He performed the character of Mr. Chakroborty, an Indian businessman in Kazakhstan in the movie ‘ Business in Kazakhstan’.
Bigg Boss 13 & Web series Broken But Beautiful 3
In 2019, Sidharth participated in India’s very popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and became the winner of the show in February 2020. Ormax media ranked him as No. 1 throughout 20 weeks and rated him to be the most popular contestant of Bigg Boss 13.
In the polls which were conducted by Hindustan Times, India TV, and TOI, Sidharth was voted the most favorite contestant of Bigg Boss 13.
Sidharth made his OTT debut in the 3rd season of Romantic Web Series ‘Broken But Beautiful 3′ as Agastya Rap. The web series is available on-demand platforms ALTBalaji & MX Player.
