Today marks the 13th anniversary of popular serial Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, which was the debut of Sidharth Shukla and Aastha Chaudhary. While the show garnered love and appreciation from fans, the leading shared some of her beautiful memories and told E Times, “We were kids when we did that show. It was my debut show and close to my heart. I guess it’s the same with Sidharth, too. We were both raw at that time and today, I feel we both have learnt a lot about life and acting over the years. It has been a good journey so far.”

Speaking about her rapport with Sidharth Shukla, she added, “On the sets, we were like Tom and Jerry. We used to fight, but also indulge in a lot of masti. I remember, on certain days, we used to argue a lot on the creative aspects of the show and script. While I won’t say that we are best friends today, I know that I can always pick up the phone and talk to him without any hesitation. And I know that he will be there for me. In fact, I have been in touch with his mother throughout these 13 years.”
Aastha also revealed that Sidharth taught him a valuable lesson as she said, “I still remember how Sidharth was very particular about things on the sets. For example, if the contract stated certain working hours, he wouldn’t give extra time. He has always been like that because he is clear about things and likes to follow rules. I was the complete opposite and would often try to convince him to work extra time on the sets or do some scene, which he would disagree with. He gave me a good life lesson, which I remember till today. He told me, ‘Aastha, if you don’t like something, say it on the first day, so that people will adjust around it. But if you adjust first and later complain, then people will think that you are throwing a tantrum.’ We should learn to say ‘no’ and Sidharth has taught me that.”
