Sriti Jha aka Pragya of Kumkum Bhagya has rejected these top serials on television

MUMBAI: Sriti Jha is one of the most successful actresses on television. She rose to prominence with her roles in the shows Jiya Jale, Jyoti, Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava, and Balika Vadhu. 

The actress is currently ruling the television screens with her performance as Pragya in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya, and today, her character has become a household name. 

Her on-screen pairing with her co-star Shabir Ahluwalia is loved by the audience, and they are considered as one of the best pairs on television. 

But did you know that before she signed Kumkum Bhagya, she had rejected these top serials on television?

We bring to you the television serials that were rejected by Sriti Jha. 

1. Gulaal

Sriti was offered the main lead role of Gulaal, but she refused the role as she didn’t find the story and character that interesting and appealing. Later on, Mansi Parekh did the show. 

2. Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai… Ajab Sa Risk Hai

Sriti was offered the role of Simran Khanna the main lead but she couldn’t take up the offer as she was busy in some other projects.  Later on, the role was done by Sukirti Kandpal. 

3. Kitani Mohabbat Hai

Sriti once again refused the lead in this serial as Arohi. The reasons are still unknown, and later on, it was done by Kritika Kamra. 

4. Chhanchhan

Sriti refused the lead in the serial Chhanchaan as she was busy with some other prior commitments, and later on, the role of signed by Sanaya Irani. 

5. Jodha Akbar

Sriti was offered the role of Jodha, but the actress refused the role as she didn’t want to do mythological serials, and later on, the role of done by Paridhi Sharma. 

Well, Sriti had a reason to say no to these serials offered to her, but she has been ruling the television screens as Pragya for the last six years.
