The TN govt had earlier increased occupancy limit from 50% to 100 only for Pongal releases. Now, the theatre owners can operate at full capacity starting from February. The Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued standard guidelines to be followed while watching the films. Visitors will have to wear their masks and makes sure to cover their face while sneezing inside the auditorium. Hand sanitisers should be placed and to be used by everyone while entering and leaving cinema halls. 

This decision is being welcomed by many producers and cinema owners on social media as things are getting back to normal amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
