Actor and director Shahnawaz Baqal aka Rufy Khan who was seen as Ayushmann Khurrana’s co actor in Nautanki Saala and has directed shorts films like Who Dies? which won awards for best director at Newyork Peace International Festival and IRAN international film festival and short film Inaam on Hotstar.

His upcoming feature film Myakut, directed and acted by him which is streaming from 12th March on Amazon Prime and MXPlayer is all about a porn addicted changes himself into an animal lover. It also stars Ex Big Boss contestant Lokesh Sharma in female lead.

With this film I want to say that love has no boundaries it can transform anytime negative into positive. But when that love turns into passion and possessiveness then the story can get ugly or prettier. We have shot this film in the valley of Kashmir and the unique part is that a sheep is also playing a lead role in it.
Hence the name of the film is Myakut which in kashmiri language means sheep.

He further adds,”Actually we where shooting in Himaliyas with actual sheeps and shepherds and had lived with them for a month. So when we were shooting with one sheep, I actually fell in love with that sheep and I bought it and it is still with me.

On talking about his coactor Lokesh, actor and director Shahnawaz Baqal says,”I’m really thankful to her that she has played such a challenging role and intriguing role There is very complex link betweem Lokesh and the sheep in the film.I believe if Lokesh Sharma is the lead of the film then Sheep is also the parallel lead and the connection between them is deep.”
