These actresses refused the role of Prerna in Kasautii Zindagi Kay

MUMBAI: Kasautii Zindagii Kay was one of the most popular television shows. The show had kept viewers hooked to the TV screens with its intriguing tale.

The soap featured an ensemble cast who to have their own individual fan following. The audience loved watching Erica and Parth’s chemistry, and with the entry of Karan Singh Grover, the storyline was even more interesting. He was then replaced by Karan Patel.

Prerna’s character is one of the most iconic characters of the television industry. She was introduced way back in 2000 when Kasautii Zindagi Kay was launched, and Shwetha Tiwari was finalised to play the role of Prerna. 

After almost two decades, the show was relaunched, and Erica Fernandes essayed the role of Prerna.
 
But before Erica was finalised for the show, a few actresses were offered it but refused.

Have a look at the list of actresses who refused the role of Prerna. 

1. Hansika Motwani

Hansika was offered the role of Prerna, but the actress couldn’t clear the screen test and that’s why things didn’t work with her.

2. Niti Taylor 

Niti couldn’t take up the offer as she was busy with some other projects. That’s why she couldn’t sign this project.
 
3. Tejasswi Prakash 

Tejasswi also was offered the role of Prerna, but the reason why she didn’t accept the role is unknown. 

4. Sana Sayyad

Sana was couldn’t take up the offer owing to the projects she was already committed to at that point of time. She had already signed Divya Drashti. 

5. Jannat Zubair Rahmani 

Jannat too was offered the role of Prerna, and the actress had also given a screen test  but after the first round, things didn’t work out between the makers and the actress. 

Well, finally, the makers signed Erica Fernandes for the role of Prerna, which turned out to be an iconic character. 

Fans have commented saying that no one could have done justice to the role the way has, and Erica was the perfect choice for it.
