Those Who Wish Me Dead: Angelina Jolie’s neo western film will release in theatres on THIS day

Angelina Jolie was last seen on the big screen in Come Away along with being a part of the voiceover cast for The One and Only Ivan. While Eternals was supposed to be her next big outing last year, the COVID-19 pandemic dampened those plans as the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie was forced to shift its release date to November 5, 2021.

We have to wait some more to see Angie shine as the immortal Thena in the Chloe Zhao directorial but before that, fans will get to see Jolie in theatres with her neo-western movie Those Who Wish Me Dead. According to The Wrap, Those Who Wish Me Dead will be releasing in theatres on May 14, 2021, and will also stream that same day on HBO Max, following the lines of the recently released Warner Bros. films like Gal Gadot”s Wonder Woman 1984 and Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto’s The Little Things. Interestingly, Those Who Wish Me Dead will be clashing with Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Maluma starrer Marry Me, which releases on the same day.

Directed and co-written by Taylor Sheridan, Those Who Wish Me Dead also stars Nicholas Hoult, Tyler Perry, Jon Bernthal and Aidan Gillen in pivotal roles alongside Jolie.

Based on Michael Koryta’s novel of the same name, Those Who Wish Me Dead is set amid a wildfire in the Montana wilderness and is based on a 14-year-old who is plunged into a new life, after witnessing a brutal murder, where she is hidden in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens.
