Breast cancer is one of the top three most common types of cancer prevalent in the world. According to reports published by the world health organization, there are about 1.38 million cases of cancer each year. Recent studies have shown that there is an increase in the number of cases of breast cancer and this is mainly attributed to the pandemic. Apart from this the other reasons for this increase in cases are changes in lifestyle patterns, reproductive preferences, and hormonal imbalance.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has declared COVID-19 as the cause for the increased risk and complications for those suffering from cancer. To prevent cancer or to manage the symptoms and support treatment, yoga can work as a holistic solution. Yoga comprises postures, breathing exercises known as pranayama, meditation techniques, mudras, chanting, and more.
