WATCH: Chiranjeevi attends his nephew Vaishnav Tej’s Uppena pre release event; Says it will create history

Megastar Chiranjeevi attended his nephew and Sai Dharam Tej’s younger brother, Panja Vaishnav Tej”s upcoming film Uppena’s grand pre-release event heled yesterday on February 6. Krithi Shetty, who is making a debut with the upcoming film will be seen playing the female lead in this romantic entertainer while Vijay Sethupathi plays her dad onscreen. At the pre-release event, Chiranjeevi was all praises for his nephew and also revealed that Uppena is going to be a visual extravaganza. Chiranjeevi also thanked the audience for showering the industry with love yet again by visiting cinema halls after almost a year. 

Sharing thoughts about Uppena, the Sye Raa actor said, “Producers, you don’t worry, I won’t be revealing anything about the film. Buchi Babu came to narrate me the story along with Sukku and I was really amazed. The emotions were pure. I seriously couldn’t find anything wrong. However, I was worried about how a crucial point in the film will be narrated convincingly. He could deliver, what he promised. I thought of conducting a press meet after I heard the story. It is not an exaggeration to say this is a visual extravaganza. This film indeed is an example of perfect screenplay writing. The making style of Buchi Babu reminded me of Bharathi Raja in ’80s and ’90s. He used to make such rustic films.” 

Devi Sri Prasad, who has given music to the film, thanked Chiranjeevi for being the chief guest for the grand night and also shared a video of megastar’s speech.

Uppena is helmed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana and produced under the banners- Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. 

The upcoming Telugu film is releasing on February 12.
