Today owing to an alarming rise in the corona positive cases, the country is standing united in fighting this deadly pandemic. Amidst this, many people are coming forward to help the people in the society. 

Singer Sonu Nigam inaugurated Oxygen bank and an isolation centre for Covid-19 patient’s families which was organised by MP Manoj Kotak. Here the singer spoke to News Helpline about the current situation in the country and much more.

Talking about the current situation in the country, he said, “When the cases are increasing every day, the people of the country are coming forward to help each other without discriminating on the basis of caste and religion. Everybody is working to fight the pandemic.”

Sharing the information about the facility which he inaugurated, he added, “This facility is for high risk patients. There are oxygen cylinders which will be provided free of cost to those who will need them. We wish and pray that these beds and oxygen cylinders should not be needed only.”

Giving a word of advice to the people, he said, “The need of the hour is that everyone should get vaccinated. There are people who do not follow the precautions, they do not cover their faces. We all should act responsible.”

He further added, “I know we are in a serious situation. But we Indians always overcome all our problems. We, as a country, will be back on the path soon.”
