MUMBAI: The Star Plus’ longest-running show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which has been ruling the TRP charts, has recently changed its storyline. The show makers have already killed the main character of ‘Naira’ in the show and introduced a new character ‘Sirat’, played by Shivangi Joshi. So far, fans are loving to see their favourite Shivangi in a completely new avatar. For the role, Shivangi had to change her whole get-up and transform herself into Sirat- A boxer. In the new role, Sirat aspires to become like Mary Kom.

Today, Shivangi today took to her Instagram handle and shared videos of her practice sessions where she is seen gearing up for her role. She even thanked her trainer for training her. The actress wrote, “#sirat and boxing both were something very new to me. To be Sirat I had to learn the art of boxing. I must admit that boxing is one of the toughest sports I have come across. One wrong move and the game’s over. It does require alot of precision, accuracy, power and swiftness. A special thank you to my amazing trainer @balkrishnashetty08 for making me do this rigorous training in such a short span of time.”
