In an interview with ETimes, Lataa Saberwal said, “The lockdown period gave all of us a lot of time to reflect. That time made me realise that my calling has changed and now my priority is my 7- and-a-half years old son and doing something for society.” Lataa said that she wants to do something for society and be present for her son more. “I wanted to be an actor since my early 20s, but now my focus has shifted. I want to help out my son with his studies. The actress stressed that she has not quit acting but would be selective with her projects next. “I am done with the typical daily soaps, where every day we go and churn content. Now if it is a 5-6 days project, I am okay with it, along with Bollywood projects. That would surely mean that I will have to accept a pay cut since I won’t be regular, but that is okay,” the actress chimed in. Furthermore, Lataa Saberwal wants to share her journey with her fans. “I want to tell a story through my journey. How a middle-class girl from Lucknow, whose entire family comprised educational professionals, became an actress. I want to do something now which makes a difference in the lives of people. The best part in all this is that my husband Sanjeev is supportive of my decisions,” she added before signing off.
