Asked if she feels that female protagonists are setting an example by wearing sarees on-screen, she said, “I think wearing and rocking sarees on-screen is a nice thing because otherwise, we don’t see a lot of women wearing sarees regularly.”

Also in some places, women still wear sarees daily, so this is a portrayal of how real India is and it helps in connecting with the audience too,” Parineeta concluded.
