Sonam Kapoor celebrates 3 years of Pad Man with throwback photos as she recalls her journey with Akshay Kumar

Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar”s award-winning film Pad Man clocks three years today and the actress went down memory lane as she recalled the good old days. Taking to Instagram, Sonam shared a series of photos that were posted by her fan clubs on the occasion of the film’s anniversary. In one of the photos, Sonam and Akshay can be seen in a candid behind the scene picture along with their director R Balki. 

In another post, Sonam shared a picture of herself from the film in which she can be seen playing the tabla. The actress reminisced key scenes from the film as she shared a video of Akshay Kumar distributing sanitary pads to room full of school girls. Apart from Sonam and Akshay, Pad Man also featured Radhika Apte in a pivotal role as she played Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. Take a look at Sonam Kapoor’s posts: 

For the unversed, Pad Man went on to win the Best Film on Other Social Issues at the 66th National Awards. Not just that, the cast of Pad Man enlisted the help of their industry friends to also normalise talk around periods. If you remember, several Bollywood actors had shared a photo of themselves holding a sanitary napkin, in a bid to break the stigma around periods. The challenge was not just a massive hit, but also worked well for the movie.
