Diva Amyra Dastur has received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. She took to her social media profile and shared a picture of the vaccination clinic and wrote a hearty note, urging everyone to get vaccination.

Sharing a picture she clicked at the vaccination centre, the “Kung Fu Yoga” actor urged people in the age group of 18-44 years of to get vaccinated. The note read, “One down and one more to go…The 18-44 age group has opened up for #ᴄᴏᴠɪᴅ19ᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ and I urge you all to please get your dose at the soonest because this truly is the only path to recovery”.

Further adding she narrated her experience of getting the vaccine, “I’m going to be extremely honest with my experience. I got my first dose of #covidshield on Thursday and I felt absolutely fine by the time I went to bed. However, I woke up very early in the morning with a slight fever and shivers but I popped a Crocin and went right back to sleep. I woke up properly late Friday morning with a headache and a little weakness. I ate some breakfast, had a Dolo as prescribed by my doctor and went back to sleep. I rested all day yesterday and today I’m as fit as a fiddle, as if nothing even happened”.

“I wanted you all to know this because it’s not as scary as it seems. Yes, some people will have different reactions and some may not have any. But the point is to take it one step at a time and know whatever the reaction, it’s only a day or two of discomfort. So please, book your appointments and just get vaccinated, if not for yourself, do it for your family and for India. Once all of us are vaccinated, we’ll be safe and ready to get on with our lives…All the best everyone #inthistogether #letsgetvacccinated”.
