WTF Wednesday: Twitter poking fun at Kapil Sharma and wife Ginni Chatrath over their 2nd child is yet another case of social-media entitlement | Bollywood Life

The fact that an entertainer as popular and loved as Kapil Sharma, who has never had any skirmishes with his fans or detractors (other than a few industry squabbles that shouldn’t be any concern to those outside the industry), can be trolled is another testament of the wanton pleasure that a huge mass on social media derives from despicability. That he and his wife, who seldom comes into the limelight, can be trolled, poked fun at, and questioned for something as joyous as the birth of their second child, which is also, frankly, nobody’s business, is further proof of how social-media despicability and the entitlement, not to mention the freedom and security of anonymity, which such platforms offer, go hand-in-hand and co-exist in an insidious cauldron steadily extending its vicelike around the core fabric of society at large. Following the birth of his newborn baby a couple of days ago, the famous comedian and host of The Kapil Sharma Show took to his official Twitter account to share the joyous moment with his fans and viewers as a whole by innocuously writing: “Namaskaar…we are blessed with a Baby boy this early morning, by the grace of God Baby n Mother both r fine, thank you so much for all the love, blessings n prayers…love you all…ginni n kapil #gratitude .” Pretty pleasant by any standard, right? Well…little did Kapil Sharma know of the onslaught of jibes and contorted comments his tweet was about to elicit. Without giving these trolls and cowards, who’re a part of a rapidly disturbing trend, any more mileage than they need — which is none — we’d simply like to pose three basic questions to them: a.) Does the birth of an infant really evoke such negative reactions as the first thoughts in your mind? b.) Why should you have an issue with the birth of someone’s kid in the first place? and c.) From where do y’all draw such entitlement and what’s the privilege that gives you the right to question anyone about their personal life? And for Pete’s sake please don’t respond with something as banal and fake as y’all being genuinely concerned about the nation’s population. Anyway, our best guess is that y’all will likely retweet this story with more illogical and no-less insidious remarks, behind the secured anonymity of your keyboards. Also Read – Congratulations!
