Speaking at the trailer launch of the film in Mumbai on Wednesday, Chadha said: “My character in Main Aur Charles is very entertaining. There are a lot of shades to my role. It was one of the most interesting roles I have ever played. I did no preparation because our director was precise of what he wanted. We had a blast doing this film.”

This film is based on a chargesheet given to us by Amod Kant, the investigating officer of the 1986 Tihar jail-break where a man and a couple of other people walked out of the maximum security prison in India. They just walked out of the jail! It’s about that one incident — how he did it and why he did it.”
Main Aur Charles also stars Adil Hussain and Tisca Chopra, and is set to release on October 30.
